Main Components
Casting Steel balls production line consists of three main parts, molding line, pouring system, and on-line installed metal molds. And the molding line is composed by the following parts:
1) Mold opening unit: consists of opening mold claw, opening moving car device; main function: opening top & bottom molds automatically. The working principle is that when one pair of mold runs to this position, the mold opening unit detects the top and bottom mold automatically, and opening mold claw rises to a certain height between the top and bottom molds, and the opening moving car device drives the claw to the center of this pair of mold. At this time, the claw carries the top mold and lifts, as the moving car goes back, the carried top mold is placed to the back of the bottom mold.
2) Mold closing unit: consists of closing mold claw, closing moving car device; main function: closing top & bottom molds automatically. The whole working principle is when the top and bottom mold move to the mold closing position, this unit gets the order from PLC, the closing mold claw carries the top mold and lifts, with the help of the closing moving car, the claw moves to the bottom mold’s position, and the claw places the top mold to the bottom one, finishing the molds closing process.
3) Turnover unit: it has single and double working position units. For each molding line, there are two sets of double working position units, works as turnover waste sand cleaning working position & turnover sand mold checking working position. And for a single working position unit, there are also two seats on the molding line, one is using as balls falling out the unit for the bottom mold part; the other one is used as top mold turns to the ground and waiting for closing after finishing sand blowing. The main function is turning the mold 180 degrees to complete discharging or inspection. This unit is controlled by a variable frequency drive and has a large driving force.
4) Vibrating sand falling unit: consists of the track, molds positioning pin device, cleaning pins, and vibrating. The Main function: cleaning the waste sand from the cavity of molds. When the top and bottom molds move to this position, the molds locating pin device finds the molds rightly and the cleaning pins go through the holes of molds, and then the whole unit goes to the vibrating table and cleans the waste sand from the cavity. After finishing cleaning, goes back to the initial position and cleaned the mold move forward, and vibrating sand falling unit waits for the next molds. Equipped one set of this unit for each molding line.
5)Pushingmold & sending mold units: The power for the molds moving on the track is mainly supplied by the pushing and sending mold According to the different working positions and working situations, it has different methods to drive: hydraulic, pneumatic, or motor drive. Big pushing power, working stably, controlled by PLC, low failure rate.
6) Delivery roll: there are two types of the delivery roll. One is no power, moving by the wheels rolling; The molds can slide on the track without power or can be pushed by pushing mold and sending mold units. Another type has the power to move forward. When sand forming part or pouring part temporarily stop, can still supply molds continuously so that to reduce the time losses and ensure productivity.
